Overview
Held by CHEAA and co-organized by leading players in China's home appliance industry, the Technical Conference has long been recognized since its founding in 2001. It has been held biennially in its early years, and annually since 2011. For the last two years, each conference brings together more than 600 people, including domestic and international experts, scholars and technicians, up from 300 in 2008
Long committed to promote technological exchange and innovation, Technical Conference works to advance technological development in home appliance industry
The conference includes two parts: general meeting and special sessions. At the general meeting, experts from home and abroad introduces regulations, policies and standards concerning home appliance industry, and shared their views on industry trends, common issues, and hot issues, such as technology development, global environment protection, energy efficiency, waste recycle and reuse, global trends, Internet appliances, and industrial design. Special sessions cover categories include refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, kitchen appliances and water purifiers. It is a platform for in-depth technology exchange in each category, where hot issues of different categories are discussed, such as refrigerants, variable frequency, vibration and noise, core parts and materials, energy efficiency, detection technology, etc.
Producing a paper collection for each Technical Conference is another crucial work. With about 200 pieces of papers submitted to the organizer, this activity is well recognized and welcomed by enterprises, colleges, and research institutions in home appliance industry. Previously accessible for only members of CHEAA, the papers have become an open publication since the year of 2004. Papers submitted are reviewed by a panel of experts invited by CHEAA's Technical Committee. Those approved by the panel will be published as a collection, and 15% of them will be awarded at the conference.
The Technical Conference also serves as a platform for its participants to release and exhibit their new technological achievements, as a way of promoting technological exchange in the industry.
