The 2025 (21st) China Household Electrical Appliances Technical Conference, hosted by the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, formally opened on November 13 in Hefei, Anhui. Convened in the final year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the conference provided a comprehensive presentation of the latest technological developments across the home appliance sector. It also offered strategic guidance for strengthening the industry’s capacity for technological self-reliance and charting future development priorities.

Activities began on the afternoon of November 12 with a special session on materials technology—the Technical Exchange on Lubricating Greases for Home Appliances. That evening, the Technical Exchange on Integrated Circuits for Home Appliances was held ahead of the conference’s plenary meeting.
To address technological innovation across major product categories, multiple specialized sub-forums were held on November 14. These included the Seminar on Refrigerant Alternatives and Energy Efficiency Improvement for Room Air Conditioners, as well as dedicated technical sub-forums for kitchen appliances, refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, and new smart-living appliances.
Experts from research institutions and leading enterprises delivered case studies and technical analyses, offering in-depth discussions on the latest progress and practical experience in environmental sustainability, energy-efficient technologies, innovation pathways, and the enhancement of user experience across key product categories.
