National energy efficiency standards for some products postponed due to coronavirus outbreak

China’s Standardization Administration announced the postponement of several national energy efficiency standards due to the outbreak of covid-19 on its website on April 1 2020. According to the announcement, GB 19576-2019 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for unitary air conditioners and GB 37479-2019 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for ducted air conditioners, scheduled to kick in starting May 1 will be postponed to November 1 2020; GB 37480-2019 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for low ambient temperature air source heat pumps (water chiller) packages, scheduled to kick in starting May 1 2020, will be postponed to November 1 2020; GB 38448-2019 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and water efficiency for smart water closets, scheduled to kick in starting July 1, will be postponed to January 1 2021.
