The Wuhu-based (a city of China’s Anhui province) Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning voluntarily filed a plan to Anhui Bureau of Quality And Technical Supervision recently to recall its air conditioner models KF-26GW/J (129 units), manufactured on April 14 2015, and KFR-36GW/L (101 units), manufactured on March 28 2016. With an estimated 230 units affected, the recall was conducted between April 21 to June 20, 2017.

The involved models might pose safety hazards under live line maintenance. Operations in accordance with the instruction will not cause safety hazards. The company has started its efforts in fixing this problem, and informed consumers involved through its distributors to schedule a free on-site repair service.
