"Guangdong will pay more attention to quality control in exporting home appliances," said Deng Xuqi, vice director general at Guangdong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, at the establishing ceremony of an association aiming to improve the quality of exported home appliances on Dec 22.
More than 100 experts and business people from around China took part in the activity held in Shunde district, Foshan, discussing innovative technology to improve product quality in the industry.
"China's home appliance industry features a large amount but low technology level," said Deng. The association will focus on developing export advantages in technology, brands, quality and services to improve the whole quality level of exported home appliances.
A professional team has been set up to follow the international standards of home appliance in order to prevent the technical barriers to trade from affecting the export.
The entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau of Shunde district will also help local companies to innovate technology and promote their brands to raise the international fame of Guangdong home appliances.
