China recommends R290 as substitute for R22

Ministry of Ecology and Environment unveiled a catalogue of recommended substitutes of HCFCs on November 23 2021 to seek public opinion. It explicitly states that, R290 is recommended as the substitute for R22 used in home air conditioners, home heat-pump water heaters, commercial standalone refrigerating system, and industrial refrigerating system.
