Statistics from the General Administration of Customs show that, from January to May 2023, the export volume of home appliances from China stood at 1426.22 million units, up 0.6% YoY, with the export value down 1.8% YoY at 36.2 billion USD.

For major appliances, the export volume of air conditioners stood at 27.56 million units, down 3.4% YoY, with the export value down 7.4% YoY at 4.28 billion USD; the export volume of refrigerators stood at 25.59 million units, down 3.4% YoY, with the export value down 13.6% YoY at 3.26 billion USD; the export volume of washing machines stood at 10.85 million units, up 37.1% YoY, with the export value up 17.7% YoY at 1.36 billion USD.

As for televisions, the export volume was 38.95 million units, a YoY increase of 8.9%, and the export value was 5.23 billion USD, a slight increase of 0.5% YoY. Regarding small appliances, the export volume of electric fans reached 224.18 million units, a 17% increase compared to the same period last year, and the export value was 3.32 billion USD, a 13% increase YoY. The export volume of vacuum cleaners was 52.07 million units, a 1.5% increase YoY, and the export value was 2.01 billion USD, a decrease of 3.8% YoY. The export volume of microwaves was 26.32 million units, a decrease of 6.8% YoY, and the export value was 1.41 billion USD, a decrease of 13% YoY.
