Tiger Corporation voluntarily filed a plan to General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C (AQSIQ) recently to start its recall of some imported Tiger-branded IH rice cookers starting 11 Dec, 2017. This recall involves 6 models numbered JKT-S18C, JKT-S10C, JKT-A18C, JKT-A10C, JKT-B18C and JKT-B10C, manufactured in Japan during 21 Jul, 2014 to 20 Sep, 2017. Approximately 29,245 units of the affected products were sold in Chinese mainland.
The involved models might pose electric shock hazards. If a cord fixer is damaged or falls off, it could break down the grounding system and poses electric shock hazard. Tiger offers a free replacement of parts for recalled products.
