Amway (China) Co., Ltd voluntarily filed a plan to Anhui Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently to recall the AC power cords of its Atmosphere air conditioners manufactured between Jan 2010 to Nov 2014. The recall started from May 12, 2017, with 1,123,083 power cords involved.
The involved power cords may overheat and ignite under extreme conditions. Amway offers a free new cord for qualified consumers.
Amway put the recall notice at its website on May 12, 2017. According to it, consumers involved will be offered a free on-site replacement service by a commissioned third-party after register through https://asms.amway.com.cn/ATSRegister.
