With a broader array of innovative products and solutions, cross-boundary elements and global industry heavyweights, AWE is ready to re-interpret its theme Home for Next, and paint a blueprint of how smart technology powers our lives.
On a record-setting scale, AWE 2018 saw growing global influence
Setting a record with an exhibition area of nearly 130,000 square meters, 292,600 visitors, hundreds of press conferences and 10 thousands of freshly released products, AWE 2018 consolidated its position as a top home appliance and electronics show worldwide and an undoubted match of IFA and CES.
The growing AWE is attracting more and more big names of the industry to be on its platform. In the past AWE 2018, a number of global heavy weights including Sony and Philips made a presence for the first time.
Setting up in 2017, the Technology Park made a hit again at AWE2018. Bringing together Internet enterprises, innovation investment companies and technology startups such as Tencent, Sinovation Ventures, Lenovo, GoPro and UBTECH, it showcased cutting-edge technologies spanning artificial intelligence, smart transportation, smart entertainment, sports & health, and forefront smart life scenarios in a bid to provide visitors an experience better than ever.
The number of visitors to AWE 2018 came to an unprecedented 292,600, a year-on-year rise of 33%, of which the number of consumers mounted up by 200%, and the number of overseas visitors from 76 countries and regions across the world grew to account for 8%.
Despite a surge of visitor quantity, AWE 2018 boasted a change in visitor structure too. At the show, industry insiders accounted for more than 70% of visitors, of which senior and middle management took more than a half. During AWE 2018, He Xiangjian, founder of Midea, Fang Hongbo, Chairman of the Board of Midea, Liang Haishan, Excecutive President of Haier, Dai Zhengwu, President of Sharp and Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Division made a presence, making a splash in the industry.
As one of the most vigorous, innovative platforms of the industry, AWE’s global influence grows at a steady pace. During AWE 2018, ambassadors and commercial counselors from more than 10 countries made a presence. Industry organizations including AMK and JEMA with top management from their member companies visited AWE to look into future technology trends. More than 10 overseas media make an in-depth report. Integrating more cross-boundary elements, booths of AWE 2019 are running out fast
With the hustle and bustle of AWE 2018 lingering on, AWE 2019 has already launched, scheduled to kick off from March 14th to 17th 2019.
Project manager of AWE reveals that, limited by the exhibition area offered by Shanghai New International Expo Center, AWE 2019 will not expand in size. The organizing committee decides to put more weight on exhibitor evaluations and exhibition enrichment. Not been officially launched yet, AWE 2019 is running out of booths already. Enterprises have to fight hard for a position at AWE.
It is learned that, most exhibitors propose an expansion of exhibition area. Industry leaders will continue to deliver theircomprehensive manufacturing strength. Haier is ready to showcase the latest innovations from its 6 brands in one whole exhibition hall in 2019. Midea will also use one whole hall to display its products and solutions in home appliances, consumer electronics, HVAC, robots and automation, and smart logistics. Hisense decides to expand its scale to half of a hall.
Regarding innovative products and solutions, AWE 2019 is gearing up to showcase the latest achievements in artificial intelligence, mobile internet, IoT, cloud computing, big data and how they integrate with home appliance and consumer electronics industry, while bringing in more elements. AWE 2019 will highlight smart home appliances, smart home, smart travel and smart entertainment once again, with exhibitors including Hisense displaying solutions on smart transportation, smart medial services and smart city.
In cooperation with German modern kitchen appliance association AMK, AWE set a special zone covering an area of more than 1000 square meters to for German enterprises. Established cabinet makers including Nobilia will showcase their modern kitchen technologies and solutions to an integrated kitchen on set.
AWE 2019 is expected to attract 350,000 visitors, of which overseas visitors are expected to take a larger proportion, according to the organizing committee.
It is learned that, CHEAA will hold a press conference in October 2018 to release the strategy, highlights and exhibitors of AWE 2019. The launch of AWE 2019 marks a step closer to the opening of this grand innovation show.
