The air conditioning division of Xiaomi Group announced on June 14, 2023 its strategic cooperation with Panasonic. The multi-level, multi-field strategic cooperation involved the resource sharing of R&D, production and manufacturing of air conditioning products.
Xiaomi unveiled that they will not only work together on OEM products, but jointly improve product quality and streamline manufacturing process. The strategic partnership is more about the resource sharing in technical and R&D level in a deeper sense.
It is learned that Xiaomi and Panasonic have cooperated on several projects including Xiaomi’s energy saving air conditioner series that have been placed on the market, and the jointly developed fresh air models. More extensive cooperation is expected to be implemented down the road to cover more home appliance lines.
