Inception Meeting of HCFCs Phase-out Management Plan (HPMP) in Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sector (StageⅡ) of China was jointly convened by Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (FECO) under Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) of China, United Nations Industrial Development Organizations (UNIDO), and China Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Association (CRAA) in Shanghai on April 14, 2017. This meeting kicked off the stageⅡof HPMP in industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning sector of China. According to Chen Liang, Director of FECO, Chinese government attaches great importance to ozone protection and under its leadership, China has gone beyond the target of cutting down 10% of HCFC consumption in stageⅠ, with phased-out HCFCs in production and consumption accounting for 70% and 55% respectively of the total phased-out quantity of developing countries. It is learned that, industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning sector phased out 8,450 tons of HCFCs and conversed 36 production lines in stageⅠ, alongside their efforts in standard establishment and revision, people trainings and product marketing.
