IRHMA2024 (International Roundtable of Household Appliance Manufacturer Associations) was held at Cape Town, South Africa, on May 17, 2024. Chaired by SADA (South African Domestic Appliance Association), the meeting brought together delegates from home appliance associations worldwide including APPLiA (Home Appliance Europe), AEB (Association of European Businesses), CHEAA (China Household Electrical Appliances Association), KEA (Korea Electronics) and SADA (South African Domestic Appliance Association). They shared most concerned issues of each region, policy and regulation updates, market dynamics and the key work done by each association. Besides, in-depth discussions regarding shared issues worldwide were also made at the meeting. Jiang Feng, Executive President of CHEAA, Wan Chunhui, Vice Secretary General of CHEAA, Luo Yuanyuan, Vice Secretary General of CHEAA and Wang Nina from Membership Department of CHEAA attended the meeting on behalf of CHEAA.
Wan Chunhui introduced the establishment of CHEAA’s carbon footprint accounting system for home appliance products in China. She briefed the context and development of the related standards. And then she moved on to the core content including the accounting principles, methods and accounting report of the standards. She also introduced CHEAA’s efforts made in promoting international recognition of the standards.
