China’s home appliance industry posted revenue of 742.25 billion Yuan, a year-on-year growth of 13.1%, and profit of 52.29 billion Yuan, a year-on-year growth of 15.9%, according to statistics released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on August 20th 2018.
Aggregated output of refrigerators stood at 39.793 million units in H1, a year-on-year growth of 3.1%, room air conditioners 110.226 million units, a year-on-year growth of 14.4%, and washing machines 33.972 million units, a year-on-year growth of 0.3%. For June alone, the output of refrigerators posted 7.13 million units, down by 3.6% year-on-year, room air conditioners 20.798 million units, up by 12.1% year-on-year, and washing machines 5.385 million units, down by 3.9% year-on-year.
Sales ratio of home appliances in H1 came to 97.4%, down by 0.8% year-on-year, and export delivery value of H1 posted 202.93 billion Yuan, up by 7.1% year-on-year. For June alone, the sales ratio registered 97.5%, up by 0.2% year-on-year, and the export delivery value posted 35.35 billion Yuan, up by 3.9% year-on-year.

Sales ratio: refers to sale value and industrial output value, which reflecting the situation between production and sales of industrial products.
Export delivery value: refers to the foreign trade department of industrial enterprises or self-run (commission) exports (including sold in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), with the price of foreign exchange settlement of product value, and foreign samples, materials processing, component assembly and compensation trade product value.
