On May 20, 2024, AWE (Appliance & Electronics World Expo), a top three global home appliance and consumer electronics exhibition renowned as an “indicator of industry trends,” officially released an industry trend report for AWE2024.
The report points out that “AI big models have become a new field of competition for the home appliance and consumer electronic industry which is undergoing unprecedented changes.” AWE2024 presented integrated achievements across various fields such as smart home, smart city management, and human-vehicle-home ecology, leading users into a new era of ‘smart living.
The core content of the report consists of nine industry trends and nine product trends. AWE2024 brought together leading domestic and international brands, making it one of the platforms full of innovative vibe.
The nine industry trends are summarized to reflect changes happening in the industry such as AI, sustainable development, health-oriented products, the integration of home appliances and home furnishing, smart travel, silver economy, personalized customization, aesthetic design, and industry chain innovation. In addition to the nine major industry trends, the report also summarizes trends observed in nine product categories, including washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, consumer electronics, kitchen appliances, cleaning appliances, bathroom appliances, beauty and health care, and upstream suppliers.
AWE2024 was held in Shanghai from March 14th to 17th. With 13 exhibition halls and 150,000 square meters of exhibition area, 365,000 time of visits, and the participation of over a thousand exhibitors, AWE2024 achieved a historic breakthrough.
