The new interconnected smart kitchen appliance factory of Haier Smart Home, based in Laiyang city, Shandong province, went into production starting August 16, 2019. Designed for the production of built-in kitchen appliance packages, the factory boasts the broadest product range, largest production capacity, high flexible manufacturing capability and strong auto detection technology worldwide.
The new factory changes the separate manufacturing of kitchen appliances into concentrated manufacturing of kitchen appliance packages that covers 10 categories of products. From packaged products to packaged manufacturing, it provides a strong support for Haier’s deployment of premium smart appliances and meet users’ demand for customized high-end kitchen appliance packages.
The Laiyang-based factory is the 13th interconnected factory and 3rd interconnected kitchen appliance factory of Haier Smart Home. With a planned production capacity of more than 2 million units per year (twice of the industry average), it meets the demands of global users with packaged products that carry the brand names of Fisher & Paykel, GE Appliances, Casarte, Haier and Leader.
With Haier’s COSMOPlat platform, the new factory will make true customer-oriented mass customization in a seamless, transparent, visible way to offer best user experience.
